Podcast Interview: An Ineffable Atmosphere with Alessandro Keegan

I am very happy to share my interview on Martin Benson’s “Concerning the Spiritual in Art”, an excellent podcast that talks to artists exploring the realms of the spiritual in their work. I highly recommend this interview if you are curious about the origins of my work.

ART MACAU 2023: July 28-October 29, 2023

I am very honored to announce that a large selection of my work will be exhibited in Macau, China, as part of Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2023, at the Macao Museum of Art, from July 28th to October 29th.

Curator Qiu Zhijie contacted me and explained the concept for the exhibit, that it would be looking at art related to the intersection of science and religion. This is a very fascinating premise, and I was happy to contribute work.

Please see the “Installation Views” section of this site for installation images of my work at the museum.

May 25th-June 22nd, 2023:

Alessandro Keegan: “After the Rain”

I am happy to announce a solo show of my paintings at Waterhouse and Dodd, New York.

From the gallery: “Please join us at 15 East 76th street in New York and RSVP for our opening reception 6-8 pm on May 24th.  We will exhibit 11 new paintings from the Keegan studio.

Keegan creates vibrant, wonderfully rendered paintings rich with historical references and metaphysical intrigue. The piece above shares the title of the show After the Rain which refers to a 1942 surrealist landscape painting by Max Ernst ‘Europe After the Rain II’.”
